Cornerstone Communities and the Shield of Faith

Let's revisit the shield of faith: The shield of faith is an invisible force surrounding Christians from attacks of the devil. The shield of faith is built by believing the truth. When we believe lies instead of truth our shield is weakened and allows evil forces to gain ground in our lives. In order to remain strong in the Lord and protected by His love we must fight the battle of our minds by speaking and claiming what is true. (And always keep in mind that for some reason it is easier to believe lies.) It truly is a war that we're in. We must live by the truth, speak what God says is true, and follow the ways of the Kingdom of God. He is the God of Peace and we can abide in His peace when we are living shielded by faith which is built on truth. --God's Message to Angela Sedgwick

The Jesus Journey never ends
Once Jesus has called you to journey with him, and once you have begun to experience richness in Christ, you will soon discover that the task of fighting for the hearts of others never ends. The shield of faith is built by believing the truth.

There is an enemy who wishes to destroy your heart and does everything he can to destroy the hearts of others. That's why Jesus not only paid the price on the cross at Calvary, but just as importantly arose from the grave to conquer both sin and death and, in essence, to conquer and live victoriously over everything the enemy has to throw at you. The shield of faith is built by believing the truth.

Jesus has called you to journey with him in restoring hearts, transforming lives, and setting people free. He has called you to richness in him and with him. The journey never ends, the enemy never quits, but Jesus is always victorious. The shield of faith is built by believing the truth.

You are not alone
You are not on this journey alone. There are others who are leading other Cornerstone Communities, and there are millions who are searching for richness in Christ and a place to belong. There are resources in the persons of prayer who journey with you, worship with you, fellowship and delight in being with you. Your richness in Christ is a constantly renewing and ever-expanding experience in intimacy with Jesus and others. In the good times and the bad, you are never alone. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. The shield of faith is built by believing the truth.
